Inline with my topic on secondhand stuff I have decided after writing an almost useless guide to secondhand items found at eBay on my second post I am now inclined to better my blog by writing about things people actually need. Instead of used handphone cards, I will write about handphones.
Ya, Singaporean are crazy about handphones. CRAZY. They change their phones so often it's not funny. Most of these second hand, pre-owned, used handphones whatever their ex-owner calls them are almost as brand new. Many are in very good conditions.
Coupled this with the fact that retail prices for handphones without a contract are too damn high, you have a compelling reason to buy pre-owned/secondhand/used handphone in the Singapore handphone market scene.
Yep. I am sure you know this alternative but maybe many are too 'good' for used secondhand handphones. Most Singaporeans would prefer new and shiny to used and owned before, isn't it?
Yep. Maybe you are the exception. Or environmental causes have made you realised goodtimes don't last that long here and you have better saved or be sorry.
My friend, a stellar example, had just bought today, a brand new C902 Sony Ericsson without contract for SGD$700plus. Imagine what other use this amount of money can be for someone who needs it. It's an extravagant way to spend your hardearned money.
Oh did I tell you I am a sort of prophet. I can foresee hardtimes very soon. Always after booms comes recession, the next one is not too far away.
Save your money and buy secondhand, you never know when you need that extra hundreds in future. Buy at auctions!
